Citroën and Kenneth Hansen chases new Championship-title
Citroën Racing in France has signed a new contract with
Kenneth Hansen to drive the European Rallycross
Championship. The long and successful cooperation continues
for another season and the target is of course to win.
Kenneth Hansen is happy over the renewed confidence from
Citroen, especially in a time when the car market is having
a tough period.
- I am proud and grateful that Citroën stands behind me,
says Kenneth, who now has put in the highest gear towards a
new European Championship title – number 15 in that case.
- Last year we finished only third, the competition is keen,
but I feel that we have something really good coming this
season, Hansen reveals with a sparkle in his eyes.
- I think the combination Swedish and French will be
difficult to beat.
The Citroën-Hansen team is already busy with the test
programme. The rallycrosseason reaches over 10 rounds and
begins the first weekend of May in Portugal.

Press
release, December 2 2009
Doran Jnr signed with legendary Kenneth Hansen
The Citroen-Total Kenneth Hansen Motorsport Team recently
signed with young British talent Liam Doran for the 2010 FIA
European Rallycross Championship season.
After an impressive first season in the European
Championship Doran Jnr managed to catch the attention of 14
times Championship winner Kenneth Hansen. As part of the
strategy to do the best work possible for Citroen both in
promotion and technical development the Citroen-Total-Hansen
team engaged Liam Doran as a part of the team for 2010.
Doran Jnr commented "I am thrilled to be given the
opportunity to drive with such a successful team. Rallycross
is my life and this is a dream come true for me. With
Kenneths experience and the professionalism of the team I
hope that I can help Citroen achieve podium positions in
next years championship"
Even with only one years European experience under his belt
Hansen is confident that Doran Jnr will rise to the
challenge in helping the team achieve success.
Kenneth Hansen says “Our team is happy to have such a
devoted and promising driver along with us. Liam has a good
understanding of the sport. I am sure he will do a great job
both as a driver and to give valuable feedback to make us
give him the best car possible.”
Doran Jnr was introduced to Rallycross at the young age of
just 14 when he competed in the MSA British Rallycross
Championship for the first time. Liam made his way up the
Rallycross ladder taking him in just 4 years from Minis to
Supercars. In 2008 Liam made the jump to supercars resulting
in instant success. After two years of experience in the
powerful Division 1-cars Liam is now ready to take on the
challenge of the Citroen-Total Hansen team’s Citroen C4s in
2010.
The FIA ERC will consist of 10 rounds visiting the best
Rallycross circuits in the world.
The Citroen-Total Kenneth Hansen Motorsport team will be
planning to launch the teams 'latest addition' at the 2010
Autosport International at the NEC in January.
Then you will have the golden opportunity to meet with Liam
Doran and Kenneth Hansen and to find out more about the
drivers and why they believe they can push each other to the
top of the Championship.

Victory and a sixth world title for Loeb/Elena
It was an emotional final day of Rally GB for the

With their 54th world class win, the Franco-Monegasque
pairing sealed their sixth consecutive World
Championship. After fighting until the final minutes of the

Kenneth Hansen honoured with Prince Bertil Award by the
Swedish Royal Automobile Club
Kenneth Hansen has by the Royal Automobile Club (KAK) in
Sweden been honoured with the Prince Bertil Award. The
award has been named by the late Prince Bertil who was the
chairman of KAK for many years.
The Swedish Royal
Automobile Club is Sweden's oldest motoring organization.
The organization was founded in 1903, at the very beginning
of automotive history.
Kenneth is now joining a prominent group of the biggest
names of Swedish Motorsport such as Björn Waldegård, Ronnie
Pettersson and Kenny Bräck.
At a ceremony at Grand Hotel in Stockholm the chairman
Christer Zetterberg handed over the Award. The jury
consisting of Sport journalists, representatives of the
Swedish ASN and KAK was unanimous in the decision that
Kenneth with his remarkable 14 European Championship titles
was a suitable candidate with the statement
”The Prince Bertil Award has been given to a Swedish race
driver that through his extraordinary results has
established a superior ability”.
- This is big! Kenneth says and shows his medal with Prince
Bertil on.
- I am grateful for the recognition both for myself and my
team, but also for Citroën who has supported me and believed
in me for many years. I and my wife Susann have always
worked side by side to reach the top and we are very proud
of this fantastic reward.
Next week it is time for Kenneth and his team to load the
Citroën into the trailer again and set the navigator on
Hungary and Austria for the next couple of rounds of the ERC
and hopefully new victories.
